Why are DotDotPet's Deshedding Shampoo and Conditioner for Dogs the Bestest?
Learn more about what makes our deshed dog shampoo the best choice for your dog.
What is deshedding shampoo for dogs?
Deshedding dog shampoo is made to reduce hair loss while improving coat and skin health. The ingredients used within this shampoo help to remove loose and dead hair. It also nourishes the hair follicles to keep your dog’s coat healthy, keeping it looking and feeling great.
Why is this the best Deshedding Dog Shampoo?
Our dog shampoo for deshedding has been specifically formulated to help with shedding. We use a vegan, prebiotic, no-nasties formulation that features Green Tea & Jojoba. This helps to remove dead
hairs whilst conditioning the coat, giving your dog a soft and shiny coat. The formulation is kind to dogs with sensitive skin to give a gentle wash. Our no-drip dog shampoo bottle is easy to use and looks great in your bathroom.
How does a shampoo calm my dog?
Other dog shampoos include fragrances that are made to please the human nose. This is where DotDotPet is different as we know that your dog’s sense of smell is very powerful. It is much more sensitive than our own which means that they can find these fragrances overwhelming. Shampoos that are made to smell nice to us result in zoomies because they are trying to neutralise the smell. This creates anxiety for your dog as they try to limit the irritation to their nose.
Our deshedding dog shampoo includes our excellent fragrance Shine Bright is proven to be kind to your dog’s nose, keeping them calm throughout and after bath time. Perfect to use when your dog needs calming down or when loud noises are frightening them, such as during firework season.
Is this shampoo suitable for smelly dogs?
Yes! DotDotPet’s Deshedding Dog Shampoo uses Neofresh technology which eliminates all malodours. Your dog can smell so good even after rolling in fox poo! This Neofresh technology gives a long-lasting freshness to your furry friend’s coat, so much so that you wouldn’t even know that they were really smelly before!
Is this shampoo suitable for dogs with sensitive skin?
Yes, our natural formulation includes no-nasties and is pre-biotic and vegan. Due to this, our deshedding shampoo for dogs is very kind to sensitive skin. If your dog’s skin is easily irritated, this shampoo can help to soothe it and prevent flare-ups. However, our shampoos are not medicated. If your dog has been prescribed a medicated shampoo by their vet, please continue to use this and seek advice before you switch shampoos.
Every single one of our dog shampoos is suitable for sensitive skin and will give your furry friend a gentle scrub. If your dog has very sensitive skin, you can try our puppy shampoo as it includes Aloe and Oatmeal. This makes it the gentlest of all of our shampoo range.
Is deshedding shampoo bad for dogs?
Deshedding shampoo for dogs is not bad and is completely safe to use. It helps to make shedding more controllable by including ingredients that are rich in Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. Our shampoo nourishes the skin and promotes a healthy coat, reducing excess shedding.
However, you need to strike the perfect balance between regular bathing and too much. If you bathe your dog too much using a deshedding dog shampoo, or any shampoo for that matter, you can dry out their skin and cause damage. When you wash your furry friend, you remove the protective surface oils which take time to re-produce. A rough guide for the frequency of bathing for your dog is every 4-6 weeks, but it’s dependent on the breed, health, coat type, and hair length.
